I couldn’t resist and made one of the 6″ baskets last night. I have some French General fabrics that have been waiting for just the right project. The baskets may be just the perfect project for them. I think I’ll print the combination that has all the shapes for a basket on each of the fabrics and then just mix and match them.
It went together in no time. Seams graded and block pressed.
Then, of course, I just had to make one more of the little 3″ baskets. And put it beside the big basket.
Tonight I’ll make one or two of the 4.5″ ones for fun. But then they are all going away until I get the Summer Picnic Dish quilted!
“Trick or Treat.” Darth Vader, a ballerina, an alien with Mickey Mouse ears and an assortment of other creatures were headed out for Hallowe’en. Baxter and Panda promised to bring home extra treats for the little red kitten, who was safe at home.
And Baxter was, as usual, atop his kitty tree. Mr. Q.O. captioned this one, “What are you doing?”
Way too cute, I just might have to get the other sizes, too!
The trick or treaters are so cute, too!

All three sizes of baskets would be neat in a modular design quilt, or even a medallion style.
