Since I finished row 5 it has either been too wet or too windy out on the roof garden for photos. But yesterday was perfect, so we got a picture of row 5.
This is the photo that is giving me the encouragement to keep going and get this top finished – the first two rows joined together. Last night I added the pink and orange 2″ connecting squares to the appropriate spots on the remaining rows and now it’s nothing but continuous stitching as I join the rows. I’m still hoping to finish it this weekend.
Karen at Quilts etc. posted yesterday about progress on her POTC as well, with a different border treatment. Carol at Postcards from Panama has a wonderful colourful version of the POTC too. All done using the 90-degree hexagon Inklingo collections.
“Staying In Touch With the Mother Ship.”
The kitty tree is Baxter’s preferred spot for cat naps these days too.
you will get done with it in no time at all.!

POTC is getting closer to being finished! Love today’s toon, especially Cappy’s little alien friend. Poor Baxter, he leads a hard life.

Hi Cathi, congrats on finishing your quilt, it does give a fantastic feeling of accomplishment. Yes, I am blessed with strong nails. I do take very good care of it, keeping it filed down, not filling to close to the sides of the nail, and I use lotion to keep them durable and pliable. At one point I even went to get a manicure and only had my index fingernail done. It cost $9.00 for just 1 nail… 😊 a jar full of ittybitty fabric….to cute.
