Another block with another favourite fabric. There are all sorts of different elements in this fabric, so I may well fussy cut another part of it for another one of the looped lasses aka pickled ladies.
The back:
Window replacements, where necessary, are done every fall. Over the past few days, we’ve seen the ropes from the swing stage the workers use. The other day it was obvious that they’d be going by our window so we thought they might get a laugh out of three little teddy bears lined up watching them. We’re used to the window cleaners doing double takes when they see one of the cats. I remember one of the window washers saying to his partner on the swing stage something along the lines of, “Look, there’s a lion in there!” when he caught sight of Lester who sat staring out at him, completely unperturbed. Smudge, on the other hand, will hide under the bed the minute he sees the ropes.
Ideas for the fall quilt are flying through my mind. This weekend I’m going to spend some time working with EQ again and see if I can sort out the design idea that is forming in my mind that way. If not, paper and coloured pencils are my next choice.
Wednesday was a lovely mild day. Lester spent some time on the windowsill.
While Smudge was working on his fall sleeping poses — this one almost qualifies as a headless cat pose, but not quite.

What a beautiful block and a lovely photo from the 3 bears!
Kind regards,

You are definitely not slowing down on these wonderful blocks. You will have a quilt before you know it!! Smudge is just like my Rolo, runs away at the sight of anything that isn’t normal.

That’s a very pretty fabric, must say I really like it. I bet the window washers chuckled at the bears watching them! Lester does look like a lion, doesn’t he…..can’t see what Smudge looks like in his bed, he’s hiding.

I think this is my favorite one so far, such pretty fabric!! I wish I had someone to do my windows for me. It’s getting close to the time where I put the storm windows down and that means window washing again….yuck :0)

The fabrics you are using for this quilt are all so pretty – I’ll bet this one is not going to be given away – judging by your pink sofa and chair this is destined to be a lap quilt in the living room.
The bears are so cute – can you get a shot of the window washers outside – what a great picture that would be.
Lester looks very annoyed.

I am amazed at how quickly you are getting these blocks stitched up! Always a delight to see a new one. I especially like this one. Any chance we could see a pic of them all together???
I’d like to join Smudge. Looks like a great way to spend a day!!

You have the best fabrics! This block is just super! What fun, to line up the bears to entertain the outside workers! If you were ever (which I doubt happens) bored…you could tuck little signs in their paws with greetings! 😉 Can’t wait to see what is brewing next! Happy stitching…keep the guard Lester…keep the noise down…for Smudge!

Loving your blocks!
I bet the window cleaners see lots of interesting things 🙂

I bet you can cut several of the fabrics in different places to use a fabric more than one without it being noticeable.

I love all your fabrics, but this one speaks to me in particular. There’s just something about it that reminds me of home, Grandma, comfort, beauty. My special favorite of my own (the one which will cause crocodile tears when it’s all used up) is very similar in colors/style. : )
Great kitty pics as always, especially the nearly headless cat pose. Love those poses that we find in our own home… too cute and so curious as to how they manage it.
I’m easily amused as well, and enjoyed your bear display for the window guys. : D
