Little Lone Star Block

Remember this little red star I made last week?

It turned into the centre of this little 7.625″ block that is destined to become – hmm, maybe the centre of an extra special mug rug? I don’t know. I just know I had to make this block with the .75″ 45-degree diamonds. It’s a fun block to stitch – lots and lots of continuous stitching. A small quilt of these all in different colours with a print for alternating squares sounds really appealing to me. I wouldn’t want to be trying to make them without Inklingo to print my shapes, though. Having the perfect stitching lines makes it so easy to make tiny blocks like this.

The back, after grading the seams and pressing.

There are signs of spring everywhere. Yesterday the gardener was working out on the roof garden for a while. Nothing is blooming yet, but surely it can’t be too long before we see some leaves on the trees at least.

And then there were these little flowers that we saw while on a walk in the neighbourhood.

“Spring … finally!”

A Jake photo that Mr. Q.O. captioned “Fang.”

We think Jake was in possession of the top tier of the cat tree and Baxter was watching him when this shot was taken. So Mr. Q.O. captioned it, “Is that little rat in my tree again?”
