Ever since Inklingo first came out, I’ve been a huge fan of the 60-degree diamonds. When I’m cutting fabrics for other projects, I will often cut off a small piece of fabric just for the 1″ diamonds. Iron the fabric to some freezer paper, feed them through the printer and then have perfect diamonds printed on my fabrics that are such fun to stitch. They then get stored in this box, which is my go-to box when I feel like stitching a star or two. Well, okay — there are about 4 boxes full of 1″ diamonds.
Last night was one of those nights – and two little stars were stitched. One pink and one green. I have a tentative plan for these stars that will involve some hexagons as well. Eventually. For now, though, they’re just fun to stitch. There’s something about the 6-point stars that I find irresistible. Almost as irresistible as curved piecing!
The back after the seams were graded and the little stars were pressed.
Don’t miss out on the giveaway I posted about on Sunday, which you can find here. It’s open for entries until 11:59 p.m. Sunday night and the winner will be announced on Monday.
The kitty artiste is back again – this time he’s outdoors with his sketching case.
After all that fresh air, he was stretched out having a snooze.
Yep, those stars are great. And have given me ANOTHER idea. That’s two quilt ideas I’ve had sparked from blog post/convos with you now in about the same number of days! Really, I’m starting to think you are a bad influence 🙂
Aww, aren’t they cute when they’re sleeping.

Stars are always the winners! And I did not know that Baxter was really French Canadian! Such an artiste!

Star designs are definitely my favourites! Oh dear, Baxter……fresh air must be very tiring, or should that be en plein air?
