Last night I wanted to work on tiny blocks. Now two more of the 2.5″ LeMoyne Stars are made for the doll bed runner. I’m going to make 16 more of them, for a total of 27, and then put together the bed runner for the doll bed. The runner will finish at 7.5″ x 22.5″.
A few more of the 2″ Drunkard’s Trail blocks for the quilt for the little doll bed got stitched together too. These blocks are so tiny that it’s easy to finish quite a few of the blocks in the space of an hour. I need around 100 more of the blocks for the quilt. While it sounds like a large number, they really are so quick to stitch that I don’t think it will take too long. Sometime over the weekend, I’m going to count how many shapes I have already printed and how many more I need to print.
Yesterday I got all the Memories of Smudge blocks labelled with their row and block numbers and have them down off the design wall now. I’m going to start stitching them together this weekend and hope to have the top finished by the end of next week.
I don’t think any words are necessary about today’s Baxtertoon. I was laughing out loud as soon as I saw it.
He was relaxing on the couch for a few minutes before getting Mr. Q.O.’s pen. That’s a favourite game – getting the pen, knocking it on to the floor and then waiting for it to be picked up so he can do it all over again.
Isn’t it amazing how long those little blocks take!? You do beautiful work!

Oh, I love those stars!
I can’t wait to see what Lesson #2 will be!!
What’s with the pens? My cats do that also, they look for them to knock onto the floor.

How ever did you manage to quilt before Baxter joined the household to help, I wonder? Your little blocks are very teeny and cute!

2 1/2 inches??? Those tiny blocks are killing me! Now I want to stop everything I’m doing and start cutting scraps for a miniature Lemoyne Star — maybe I could do 3″ 🙂 I often get this urge when I read your blog.
Really great Baxtertoon — keep ’em coming Mr. Q.O.!
