It’s orange. And cheerful. And sunny. And it’s one more of the 6″ sunflowers to add to the little stack of finished blocks.
Seams pressed and graded.
And the next one will be very subdued in comparison. Very, very subdued.
Do you remember when I showed this glorious stack of Paris Flea Market FQs that I received? I’m still dithering over what I’m going to make with them. The initial thought was tumbling stars. Then I flirted with the idea of another version of Chintz Circles or perhaps another Orange Peel variation. Or perhaps a Jane Austen quilt. Or possibly a very lacy Feathered Star. Then I circled back to something with curved piecing – perhaps another Drunkard’s Path variation. Or perhaps a shabby chic double sunflower. Maybe a Dresden Plate variation. The possibilities seem endless but I can’t pick one — at least not yet. The FQs are now all washed and ready and waiting for me to make up my mind. While I work on the batik sunflowers, I keep thinking about what will be the perfect pattern.
We were watching the Blue Jays game on television last night. They were playing in a very, very foggy Chicago. Which, of course, inspired today’s ‘toon, “Fog Game,” in which Baxter even has a lantern.
Baxter has discovered that he can really stretch out on the lower tier of his kitty tree.

Love the sunflower, always!
Foggy game? Hope he sees the ball coming toward him! I love the “1” and “1/2”, that’s funny!

I have lots of Paris Flea Market and can not decide either. Maybe it could go into the pink and green Candied Hexes?
Thank you for your inspiration!
