Orange Blossom

These wonderfully gentle curves and the variations one can make with the shapes have me hooked!! This one has been named Orange Blossom. The effect is fabulous and looks much more complicated than it really is. There are four more different blocks I’m going to make using the various shapes and these fabrics.

The back:

Our kitty-sitting of Winnie is over for now. We’re going to miss her but have asked for and been granted visitation rights. 🙂

Lester curled up with an assortment of buddies . This one almost could go in the “find the kitty’s head” category.

Smudge on the windowsill. We’re supposed to be getting snow this week. I’m hoping it misses us, but I suppose the kitties might like to watch a few snowflakes fly by the windows.

  1. Love this block! Almost looks Christmasy. So glad you will be able to continue to see Winnie. I bet she is happy too. Yes, at first it is difficult to find Lester's head, but he just looks oh so comfy. Smudge is just looking beautiful. We got snow on Saturday and it stuck too!!

  2. We received about an inch overnight. At this time of the morning it looks so pretty and clean.Wouldn't a tab;e topper of lap quilt be nice with all the different block varieations? It certainly looks difficult to me but I'll take your word for it, Cathi. (wink)

  3. That block looks like a Christmas tree ball ornament. Very pretty. I think you are having way too much fun with those curved seams, LOL!I had to look for awhile to find Lester's head. It looked like a kitty body with a toy head at first.

  4. Hi Cathi, what a great block. We have had so much snow here in Southern Alberta but I love a white Christmas…today however is a bit cold (-27C) but I still love winter!!Valeriehttp://www.pastimesonline.ca/vals-quilting/PS, I could hardly find Lester's face AND did they switch roles as Lester is usually at the window?

  5. I'm in love with the curves. Lovely really lovely. It is snowing here. I brought my dog to work with me today. He wasn't happy. He sat and stared at me until my daughter came to take him home. I thought he'd enjoy being with me instead of being home alone. Go figure, those pets!
