Tumbler Block

The latest Inklingo collection, for a 2″ tumbler and related shapes, was released yesterday. As soon as I saw the triangle shape in the collection, I knew I wanted to make this 6″ block. I have no idea if there’s a name for the block or not, but I absolutely love it and know I’ll make more of them.

The back of the block. You can see I wasn’t too uniform in pressing. I will have to press it again but not for at least a week. Picking up the iron last night set off pain that still hasn’t died down much. At this point, even picking up a glass of water is painful.

A Smudge photo that cracks me up. What a face!

And, of course, Lester on the windowsill.

  1. Gorgeous, Cathi and I echo all the comments about the colors. Super choices. This Inklingo stuff fascinates me.Your cats are precious, BTW.I don't know what's up with Blogger? It's not giving me posting updates from people on my blog list. Sigh.

  2. LOVE the block!! What a fun quilt it would make!!! Smudge is very cute–love the expression on his face–awwwww! Lester sure keeps tabs on what is going on outside. When my hand or wrist gives me trouble, I wrap it in an ACE bandage for a few days just to keep it immobile and it usually feels better after that. Just a suggestion:)

  3. I love this block and – as usual – your use of fabric and color! Great job. I'm sending some healing for you. Some healing takes a little longer than other healing. Gets down right frustration – don't I know it. I wanted to let you know I didn't completely flake out. Just trying to pull this quilt together so I opted to NOT Blog while I worked on this. Helps manage the time and fatigue. I know I don't need to explain to you but I wanted to regardless. Here and yet, not. Sometimes we just have to create boundaries, draw the line and limit ourselves. Love that little putty face of Smudge today and I'm always happy to see Lester gazing out the window…
