An Almost Finished Baby Quilt Top

Almost half the setting pieces are now in place. I’m starting to like this little quilt again. As it’s for a baby, the bunny (who’s getting ready for Easter) had to get in on the photo.

Now I’m thinking I may do a blazing sun block for one of the remaining corners of the sky quilt. Which would leave one corner. As soon as the baby quilt is done and the Four Seasons quilt is on its way, I will be working on that blazing sun block — I think.

Spring is definitely on the way. The gardeners were here on Monday cutting down bushes and clearing away the debris from winter. What a wonderful sight to see!! And the little leaf buds on the trees are definitely starting to swell a bit.

Smudge in his kitty sleeping bag again.

And Lester with another teddy bear.

  1. The Butterfly & Star quilt is sooo pretty. I love the blazing sun idea.Do Lester & Smudge do anything besides sleeping or do they do all their running around in the middle of the night, so you don't catch them being bad kitties? LOLCrispy

  2. The baby quilt is looking wonderful Cathi!I wish we were at the stage of Spring coming that you have. Here it is mucky, sloppy, slushy, puddly, slippery, etc… I’m sure it will clear up eventually… always does. 😎

  3. I’m wondering if Lester is waiting for the bears to say something to him. LOLThe baby quilt is wonderful!I think the blazing suns in three corners with something else like star point flowers in the remaining bottom corner would be neat.

  4. Love the quilt!!! Now I didn’t mine everyong talking of snow because I am here in the South Pacific but I do mind the spring because I love spring and the freshness that is in the air…I miss that.

  5. What a lucky baby to get your gorgeous quilt. I hung our bedding outside yesterday and last night slept with that fresh air fragrance. I wish it would stay like this for a few weeks.

  6. The quilt is so beautiful, Cathi! And isn’t it great to see the signs of spring? I have 23 plants coming up in the front garden (had to count them LOL) and a couple in the back – and I’m sure I’m seeing buds on the lilac bushes. Plus robins, redwing blackbirds, cardinals, and grackles… here’s hoping there’s no more snow.
