Mr. Q.O. really likes these Farmer’s Delight blocks and has requested a lap quilt of them. So another eight blocks to go, rather than being finished at four. The fabrics are picked out for the remaining eight blocks. I’m just going to squeak through with the background fabric. Thanks to the suggested printing sizes in the Inklingo collection (they’re in every collection for every shape), I was able to figure out exactly what I need and I’ll have a piece about 6″ x 8″ left over. I have an idea now for a pieced border, but will have to find something else to use for the background fabric in it.
What surprises me is that I actually managed to stitch block four over the weekend. Certainly none of it was stitched Friday night. I was absolutely mesmerized by the Olympics Opening Ceremonies!
While Lester seemed to be quite content to hang out and watch:

I don't blame Mr. Q. O. He know a great quilt block when he sees it!! These are turning out just beautifully. Your hand piecing is fantastic. I am anxious to see all the blocks.

Cathi – you are amazing. Your blocks are georgeous…I have no idea how you do these so quickly…I am only just piecing my two sets of triangles together. Then, after I have put all the circle pieces together…I will sit with that for a bit. Looking forward to sseing the next ones!

Cathi,Love this block. I am new to your blog and may have missed, but did you tell where you got the pattern? I haven't done any hand piecing in a while, I've been going more applique, but I'm ready to tackle a new project. Would love to hear from you regarding the pattern. Thanks

Sometimes you sound like my twin! LOLI too loved the opening ceremony and figure skating takes almost all of my attention so I think the sewing will be slow but that's OK, I don't want to stress myself out while I am stressing with those skaters! LOL

Can I tell you how much I love these blocks?!?I know I frequently say that about blocks I see on your blog, but this one is my favorite! How about calling it "Olympian's Delight" and piece them during the commercials only!

I like the green block, Cathi. I am normally not a green person, but I would actually like to see a whole quilt with this block made in different shades of green.
