Dresden Plate/Farmer’s Delight Block #2

Another one done! Oh, how I love putting this block together. It’s an enormous block for me — 15″ seems gigantic!

Wednesday I tried yet another contact lens and the comfort was incredible. I didn’t need any drops at all. We went out for a bit of a walk and no discomfort even walking outside on a rather chilly windy day. The optometrist wants me to try some bifocal contacts next week. It seems that my glasses breaking was a rather fortunate accident. That said, they were back from being repaired Wednesday afternoon so now I have the choice of glasses or contacts.

Another photo of Lester that is, I think, my newest favourite.

  1. Love the block. I'm glad you are getting on with your new contact lenses. I've just had to give up wearing mine. I can't get the strength I need. I have an astigmatism which limits me to the type of lense I can wear. It seems I'm stuck with galsses from now on. Love and hugs Gina xxx

  2. The block is just absolutely gorgeous!! So good to hear that all seems to be working out well for you and your contacts! This is good information so I can take it with me to my eye doctor at my next appointment.

  3. You do a beautiful job on these round squares! And I agree about your cat pictures…what a beautiful cat! My little cat is 22 years old, and still fisty as a youngin'. Have another good day quilting!

  4. Cathi,With the fabrics you've chosen this is again so elegantly beautiful. I've started reading the information first by the way… I know, I'm being so good but I'm really wanting to jump right in. Fortunately I understand from reading one must pay a bit of attention so, I get it.Got the note about Kingston. It's all wait and see. The 2nd Heartwrm test came back negative but they saw what they saw on the Ultrasound so they're sticking with that. We'll see how tonight goes. He did eat more today though. Hopefully he'll hold it down and "in" – one day at a time.
