I tried to do some applique last night but that slightly different movement was too much for my wrist. I’m dying to try some of the Dresden applique collection, but that will have to wait till my hands have recovered from this latest flare.
So I grabbed an envelope from one of the boxes and started this pink ice block. While I clearly won’t have these blocks finished this month, I’m still aiming to have the blocks finished before winter is over.

Thursday afternoon I had an eye doctor appointment, after which I had a raging headache. I think I reacted to the drops used. But I found out some great news. There’s now a contact lens for dry eyes that sounds like it may be the solution for me. I wore contacts for decades, until about 7 or 8 years ago when my eyes just got too dry to wear them comfortably. I can’t wait to get a trial pair to see if that will be the solution for me.

That pink ice block is just beautiful. Definitely give your hand a rest. I also wore contacts for years and then stopped because they just got too dry and it felt like sandpaper in my eyes. Please let us know if you decide to try these new lenses, I am curious.

I think that sounds like a good plan to finish it by the end of winter. It will be more enjoyable if you don't feel pushed on it.Lester looks like a young kitten in that picture.

Gosh, I love everything you are working on. I think spools have always been a favorite of mine, but that Farmer's Delight – I think that is the name – is amazing. You do marvelous piecing.

I love even the just looking at the layout and I like contemplating what will come rather than the feeling of pressure. I like sitting and resting in the moment. It's difficult but when I reflect on even one day where I've endured and made it thru without pushing myself I find a sense of accomplishment in that.Great pics of the boys. No good news here. I'll report more as I can.

Bummer about your wrist. I have degenerative disc disease in my neck, which puts pressure on the nerve and at any moment in time, my hands fall asleep or my arms become so weak I can barely lift them up. And, with DDD also comes lots of pain. I have mastered hand quilting with only 25% feeling in my hand. But, it does take the joy out of quilting if the pain is too great.
