While another Snow Crystal block got started Tuesday, not enough was done to show. Ideas for other little quilts keep creeping into my mind these last few days. There’s a fabulous spools block that I can make using shapes from the Inklingo Lite 4 collection — you can see a sample here — and I’m sure I’ll make a teddy bear quilt with those. Not so sure about what fabrics yet, but I’m leaning towards maybe some taupes with a muslin.
There’s these fabrics that I know I’ve shown before. I keep looking at them, knowing I want to do something with them but I didn’t have a clue what. At least up until now I didn’t. I’m leaning towards a small quilt comprised of some sort of star blocks using these fabrics. The black fabric will be probably the setting fabric while the stars are made from the red, blue and green.
Then I come to these — all these glorious pinks and stripes. Again, I’m not sure what I want to make with these and they probably won’t all be in the same quilt but I love looking at them!
I haven’t made a Christmas quilt up until now. But the idea of using greens and reds and making larger, 12″ Snow Crystal blocks for a Christmas quilt is really capturing my imagination. Perhaps I’ll make one by Christmas 2010. Of course, new Inklingo collections will undoubtedly come out and I’ll probably decide on a different pattern but I think a Christmas quilt is definitely in my near future as a project.
This has to be my favourite photo of Lester right now. The look on his face is so expressive!
And little Winnie. She has definitely adapted to us taking care of her. She purrs now, lets us pat her, even does the “happy paw” thing of curling her paws when she’s being patted. She gets a bit of chicken with her dinner every evening and has the funniest habit when eating it. She makes a noise that I cannot describe. The first time I heard it, I couldn’t believe it!! It’s very difficult to not laugh. Mr. Q.O. shot some video of her. Now it’s a matter of editing it and figuring out how to upload and embed it in a blog post.

Oh she is cute – Rhapsody makes a sound that sounds awfully bird like. & Means, "Mom he is looking at me."Since you use blogspot, if you need help with the video uploading to your blog, let me know. I can handle that part of it… (directly or through Flicker – even. Multi-talented.)

Why don't you do a Christmas quilt with a collage of blocks, some from every collection that they offer. That way you could do the Christmas block as your first sample of the pattern and watch the blocks pile up.

I love dreaming of making quilts and what to do with fabric that I adore. I know whatever you decide about the Christmas quilt will work out in the end. It is difficult fitting in all those projects that we want/have to do. Winnie is beautiful and I just knew that she would take a liking to you both of you!! Congrats.

How did I miss yesterday's post? I love your pink and white quilt. You have lots more coordinating fabric from the collection you showed us today, Cathi.I think the photo of Lester from yesterday is my favorite. It almost looks like he's staring into the sky saying, "Which star is this?". And Smudge…what can I say? He reminds me of a typical male. Nuf said. I'd take Winnie in a heartbeat. She's precious.

Lester looks so wise and regal in this photo. Love it! Smudge–too funny–he reminds me of Edgar Poe–typical boy. Winnie is too cute and precious for words. So happy she came around and realized a true cat person when she met you. I had a cat that used to make a bird-like chirping noise whenever she saw birds outside. Sort of like she was calling to them.

Very cute pic of Winnie! I thought, at first she was staying with your big boys, but on reading further, realise she is not. Seems Mr QO has 'the gift'. We have friends who have some Cockatiels -birds- & I just love them, but it is not mutual. One of them will go to Gom, but flies away from me. I feel quite the pariah!Love all your projects.
