One of the envelopes in the box I showed yesterday contained all the pieces for a Pink Ice block, so I got that started.

I finger press the blocks as I stitch so, although it’s not been pressed yet, you can see that when I do it will be a quick process. It takes only seconds to finger press as I go, and saves a lot of time at the ironing board.

Smudge, curled up having a snooze in the kitty bed, after another day of leaf watching on the windowsill.

Cathi, you are such a busy bee, your fingers must never stop?I cut out my pieces last night for the block a month quilt I am doing. As it looks like it will be a wet and miserable day today, I may get it done later.I have just spent the last hour or more doing Thursday's post on my blog, its full of links on Homesteading and country living, if you're interested. It will be published at 1am Thursday, my usual time!!!Have a great day,Gill

Your newest pink ice is really pretty. I favor pink! The kitties look relaxed as usual.

My first quilting project was hand pieced but I haven't done it since then. I'm guessing it's much easier to fingerpress and continue when hand piecing than when using the machine? I am chained to my ironing board. Your stuff is always so crisp and flat!

I love the "round kitty". I guess they like their back up against something when they sleep.

I meant to comment yesterday on how you get all your pieces prepped for sewing. I like that organization! Makes it nice to just start and go! And I love these colors, too.

The pink fabric is beautiful! I'm still not comfortable with pressing hand stitched blocks. Maybe finger pressing as I go, will help.
