Patchwork of the Crosses – Two Framed

Two blocks are now complete as far as having the purple squares in each corner and on two sides. This gives an idea of how they’ll look joined, although these aren’t yet joined.

My wrist is really bothering me again but I have now been able to determine what aggravates it. Unfortunately, it’s related to work so I’m going to have to be very creative in figuring out a work-around.

We were at a friend’s home on Monday and Mr. Quilt Obsession took these shots of some of the flowers in their front garden. I have no idea what the flowers are, but love the colours and am thrilled with the shots the camera is getting. It’s a Canon PowerShot A470.

The shade of purple you are using for the joining is perfect. It gives the pattern a modern feel.

Cathi,I am wanting to try and hand sew one of those small hexagon, or patchwork blocks like in this post. Do you have a link to a pattern online with the how to instructions?I have joined a bookclub, and they also meet every Wednesday to knit. Now as I can't knit I thought I would do some hand sewing and thought of your wonderful tiny blocks.Gill

The blocks are looking wonderful with the purple. I just love the look. The first flower, I think is a morning glory. Both Smudge and Lester are looking very regal.

Love that pictures of Lester…makes me think of the song from the Wizard of Oz…"If I were King of the foressst" ;o)

The purple setting for the blocks really sets it off nicely.Lester does remind me of the lion! I'm partial to Smudge though…he has the sweet face…no royalty…just everybody's kind of guy thing going on.
