This block is definitely not going to blend in with the others, but I couldn’t resist playing with these fabrics after Mr. Quilt Obsession picked them out for a block. Fussy printing/fussy cutting with Inklingo makes it really easy to get interesting effects.
This is another shot we got of Lester on Monday afternoon. Tuesday was pretty overcast and he wasn’t all that interested in looking out. But Monday? Monday he was very busy watching the birds.

Ohhh, I’m loving that block. The start of a holiday theme perhaps. Lester in wonderment and Smudge as if saying “..Yes, please do bring me my sardines and tea at 4. Thank you.”

This is a really beautiful, rich-looking one. Maybe you could turn it into a mini quilt with a border or two and use it during the holidays?

Thank you for showing the back of the blocks. I have been reading up on Inklingo but was afraid of the ink in my quilts. especially for the ones I take the time to hand quilt. You can hardly see the ink at all. And the blocks look fab. A color could be run through the block and then diagonal second patterns could be made. There is so much that could be done with this block.

I can not believe that I have been so remiss in visting your blog. I have had the blahs and have let my blogging, and visiting, get way behind. I love the blocks, and the back is almost as nice as the front. Beautiful work! Are they made with elongated hexagons?
