Another block done of the Patchwork of the Crosses. I spent a few hours today fussy cutting fabric for printing and will have a lot more of the shapes printed on directional prints by the time the weekend is out.
The back of the block. I don’t know why, but the camera is not picking up the blue and purples in this block properly at all. I tried playing with it in Photoshop but cannot get the colours right.
Thursday was lovely. We had a real blast of summer weather, with temps in the 30C range. We also had a sure sign of summer heat — the first smog alert of the year. Today will be back to more normal temps in the 20C range.
A bit soft focus, but I love this picture of Lester.

I can’t wait to see this finished quilt. WOW

Really looking good, Cathi! Now that you have four blocks, would you be able to take a photo to show how they would look like put together. Are they going to have connecting pieces?

You don’t stop once you start, do you?!?! It really is fun when you find a new pattern that you love, especially one where each block has its own personality.

Cathi,I’m in awe of this block. Amazing. I like what jovali wrote – each block has its own personality. Okay now onto the cats. Lesters soft focus – very nice and it makes me want to snuggle up and kiss him. As for Smudge, don’t you just want to get on the floor and pet his little kitty self? I sure do!

Lovely as usual of course but I have a question. How long does it take to do each block? Since you are fussy cutting then I would think it is taking longer than if you printed everything out random?I wish I could or would work as fast as you.

The Patchwork of the Crosses blocks are beautiful – great work. I just came across this inklingo pattern yesterday – very tempting – but I must admit that I’ve had Inklingo hexagons for a while and haven’t yet started a project – too busy appliqueing!

I have the same problem with purples looking bluish when I take a picture. Don’t know why that happens.
