Amy at Park City Girl is hosting a Bloggers‘ Quilt Festival. You can join this quilt festival by selecting your favorite quilt, post about it on your blog, link back to Amy’s blog, and leave a comment that you posted the festival on your blog. I know I’m rather late in joining in on this but it’s well worth going to take a look as the sheer number of gorgeous quilts to go and look at is fantastic!
This is one of my favourite quilts. It’s hand pieced and is the first of a series of one-colour quilts I hope to make. This was an amazingly easy pattern to make and one that I’d like to repeat using a different colour fabric for each star. I may make a small one as a baby quilt. It goes together very very quickly and, because of the hand piecing, is perfect for lots of lovely continuous stitching.
What a great idea this is. This is like going to a major international quilt show somewhere but without the expense of travelling to get there. It’s a very green way to attend a great quilt show!

Beautiful! I love two color quilts. I so admire all the hand piecing you do, Cathi.

Your quilt is lovely. I joined this too, & it is lovely see all the different quilts, & read the wonderful stories that go along with the quilts. I have often thought we should put pockets on the back of our quilts, to hold the story behind the quilt!

Great quilt Cathi, as usual your work is stellar. It would be really pretty with different fabrics for each of the stars. I’ve decided that it will take me weeks to look at all those sites. Everytime I turn around there’s another hundred sites to go to LOL.Crispy

I have to agree. And I think part of it was the joy we shared while you were creating this. I’m a lucky gal to be your friend. That’s what I think anyway. 😉

It’s so pretty. I need to get some handpiecing ideas for a vacation later on in the year, I don’t know if I can go a week with no sewing.

I love your two color star quilt too. I am particularly fond of 6 pointed stars and considering a hand pieced one for taking along…Don’t you love this festival Idea? To be able to sit and read all the stories, its like going to a quilt show sitting down and a bed turning where you sit and hear the story but in your jammies.
