I’m trying to decide whether I want to have sashing around the Snowy Window panes. I have to stick with blue as the little FSQS5 quilts are to be monochromatic. I’ve been auditioning various blues in my stash. The traditional Snowy Windows pattern seems to be to have no sashing between the panes, but I rather like the look of the sashing. Leaving a few of the panes to look at on one of the blue fabrics for a day or two may help me decide. Any input?
DH was back at the eye doctor yesterday. His eye seemed worse but is, in fact, getting better. He came home on yet another set of drops, so now he has 3 drops every 4 hours. As long as it’s improving, I’m grateful. He goes back to the eye doctor this afternoon. Now I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that the latest oral antibiotic has done its job. He has a few more days on those left to go.
Smudge with the teddy bear — again. He seems to love to curl up with the teddy but when he curled up and put his head on the teddy bear’s leg I thought it was unbearably cute!
I think Lester is wondering when all the birds and squirrels will be back to entertain him. Sometimes I think the window is his entertainment centre. He loves to sit there and watch the activity out on the roof garden.
Quilt Obsession 
I like the snowy windows against the blue you have in the picture – very nice.We call the picture window in our kitchen kitty TV. I have a lovely plant stand which is like a series of steps – and Gimli goes underneath it to sit staring out at the black squirrels who come to play and eat all the bird seed.

I vote for sashing; after all, most windows have dividers between the panes.Smudge looks so cute with his teddy.Tandi likes to lie on the back of the couch so she can see out the kitchen window and alert us if a car drives by.

I like the idea of sashing . . . . something really pale and frosty feeling *s*Hope Hubby’s eye continues to heal – keepin my fingers crossed for a good doctor report today.

What a productive week you’ve had! I got behind and am just catching up. Love your tree in the fog with the building lights coming through. And your sleeping cats — I should EVER be that comfortable! Your curved piecing is looking so good, too. But my favorite are the adorable quarter apple cores. Just delightful! Would definitely make a great baby quilt. Speaking of which, your hexagon stars one is looking so good.

I agree, that Smudge photo is un"bear"ably cute!I would sash your blocks with white – so that it would look like a window – mine have always been painted white.(With that said, I have a snowy window quilt kit & I will do my sashing on that in brown/wood.)

Good to hear your husband’s eye is improving. Hopefully all of the infection is gone soon.The apple core tessellation blocks are just great.

Personally I would do a very thin sashing in a darker color – just because that would remind me of the window panes in the house I grew up with. Love the snowy windows!How cute to see Smudge curled up with the teddy bear. Two fuzzy companions.

I think sashing is the way to go, the fabric you have the blocks laying on Cathi looks good…I have no doubt what ever you decide will be fantastic…

I like the blue sashing in between the window panes – it makes the individual blocks really stand out.Hope your husband gets to feeling better soon!
