The first two butterfly hexagons are connected by stars. This design is going to be a work in progress as I’m thinking about what to use to join the rows. Not sure yet, but when I get the first row put together I’ll play with the shapes a bit and see. My thought is that a little open white space between rows of stars and butterfly hexagons may be a nice resting spot for the eyes. Hopefully by the end of the weekend I’ll have a decision made on that.
Lester yesterday. I love it when he gets these funny looks on his face — he’s very very expressive!
And Smudge with all his paws tucked under. I find it fascinating to watch the different expressions these two exhibit over the course of a day.
We’re off to the doctor. DH has an infection which we think was caused by a dental hygienist. He is a heart patient with a pacemaker/defibrillator. The hygienist tried to insist she could use the Cavitron to clean his teeth, even though the heart clinic was adamant that a Cavitron not be used as it can turn off the pacemaker/defibrillator. He almost had to physically restrain her from using it. She grudgingly went to cleaning by hand, got rather rough and it seems to have set up an infection. He saw his doctor on Monday, was put on an incredibly strong antibiotic but it doesn’t seem to have worked.

Infections can be so dangerous for those with other medical issues. I’ll be praying that things improve quickly.

That’s terrible that she acted that way and now he is dealing with this! Poor guy. I hope he gets better soon. Your butterflies and stars look wonderful. I am so impressed with all the little piecing you do.

My husband had a bad dental experience a few months ago. Hard to believe incompetence like that. The butterflies are lovely and I do like the little added extra white. Good luck with your hubby. I hope he is ok.

Cathi – I do hope that your DH’s infection can be cleared up quickly and do give the Dentist a call and tell them what happened – the Dentists need to know what their Hygenists are up to. As usual, your Butterfly Stars are looking lovely.

Scary stuff what damage health care professionals can cause. Let’s hope the one course of antibiotics clears things up. Re your stars and butterflies – stunning as usual. As I looked at your sample, I could see tumbling blocks instead of stars.

I worked as a dental assistant before I had our children and we were never allowed to use cavitrons on patients such as your husband. I hope he is OK.

OH such pretty stars and the butterflies are just lovly with them!So very sorry about your DH and the dentist issue…I am so glad he wouldn’t let the clueless hygienist at him with the Cavitron..sometimes you wonder about the quality of the care we get!
