I Got Mail

The mailbox had a nice squishy envelope in it today and look what was in the envelope! It’s my Another Little Quilt Swap quilt — called “Box of Chocolates” from Charlie at It’s Just Me. The pattern is fun to look at and the colours are so wonderful!

I’ve often thought about making a pink and brown quilt and now I can just think about it some more as I have one! I remember seeing this on Kate’s blog and thinking how much I’d love to receive it — and here it is! I think Charlie must have spent some time on my blog and picked up on my passion for pink — either that, or it was an amazingly good guess!

The squirrels are very very busy tucking away food for the winter and the cats are very very busy watching them!

  1. I am so glad you like your little quilt. I had fun making it. I wish I had picked up your passion for pink, but it was an amazingly good guess on my part. I just knew that you liked brights and cats. I have always wanted to do something with pink and I had been collecting them for sometime now. Thought I would share a little bit of them with you. They say that Chocolates are a girls best friend. Oh wait, that’s diamonds. Anyways. This was my first swap and it was fun. You will have to tell me where you end up putting it. I’ll keep watching your blog.

  2. Cute little quilt. The pinks and browns look okay. Never thought to put them together before. Snudge and Lester will have lots of white stuff to look at tonight and tomorrow!

  3. Gotta love that quilt. The graphic nature of it is just marvelous and what a wonderful use of the buttons. I have some beautiful old buttons that I am thinking would look great on a quilt like that.

  4. I see…it’s the squirrels that interest the kitties! I love watching them too. We don’t have squirrels in Hawaii, but whenever I travel, I always stop to watch the squirrels. I can understand why Smudge and Lester love watching them too. That window is just like kittie t.v.! Your quilt is very pretty. Reminds me of chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla flavored milk. Delish!Aloha!
