Strips and Strips of Hexagons

There are about 16 of the strips of hexagons done now and there are 19 rows to go. These are almost all from swaps along with a few extras I had printed at one time or another. I’ll need to really take my time when I lay them out to figure out the order of rows so that I don’t have the same fabric/colour right beside itself, but I love how scrappy this will look!

Smudge sleeping the other night. He’s just so angelic — when he’s asleep!

Lester, also crashed. You’d think they had turkey dinner or something.

On that note, Happy Thanksgiving! It has been an absolutely glorious weekend here with fabulous warm weather and lots of sun. If only it could stay like this all year round!

  2. I think it looks lovely so far. And I’m actually quite partial to having the blocks just as they are – it’s scrappy, while keeping larger “chunks” of colour together. (Mind you – that’s just my taste.)Happy thanksgiving to you and your DH – and we look forward to running into you at the quilt shop some time again soon.

  6. CathiI love the hexagons and good luck with not having same colours touch.. I have been having this problem with a quilt I am making and I gave up! I figure if I close my eyes when i sew, I wont get upset about it! LOL I am also lazy and can’t be bothered with unpicking.. I think it makes it look so scrappy!!! Love the cats, mine is in a similar position.. do cats sleep 22 hours a day, with a couple of cat naps for those 2 other hours or is that just my cat??? LissaAustralia
