Another Reason Hand Quilting Takes a Long Time

Tonight it was Smudge’s turn. It’s really comical to watch him approach this. First a paw goes out to test if it’s “safe” and then up he clambers. Thankfully, I had a fair bit left to go on that line and was able to complete it.

I’ve enjoyed the cooler nights this week and being able to work on the quilt. Tomorrow we go back up into the higher heat and humidity, so I think this will sit for a while again.

  1. he must have falled through before…My cat did. We had a hamper & laid a towel over it so that it would dry a bit… Rhapsody hopped up thinking that it would be like a towel on the counter… Wrong – she landed (safely) in the hamper. She does not just hop up anymore…Now RB is the King of the Bathroom towel – he has his own… On the rare occasion, he will share with Rhapsody – but this is a big bickering spot for my two…

  2. He is just too sweet. I love this shot of him. What am I saying? I love them all. So photogenic. Kingston & Kanga do the same thing, walking one or two paws at a time first. They're just that way. Kipling never snuggles. He's his own man.
