I’ve now received my partner information for the SSCS swap and the Stitchers Angel swap. One of them prefers country colours — so help!! What would you say are country colours?
I am SO excited. My 4 Seasons quilt arrived just now and it is absolutely fabulous, fantastic, gorgeous — I love it!!! Now to see if I can find the e-mail address of the quilter who made it! Pictures in a bit — we want to get a really good picture of this one!
Worked on a secret project on the weekend, so no pics yet.
BUT we got this shot of Smudge — and I love it. Now I think this is my favourite photo of him!

Country is not “my thing” but I think of it as Thimbleberries. (Grayed navy blues, cranberries, hunter greens…) I also picture plaids…

Country colors usually use beige instead of white and the colors are kind of grayed. They look old or dirty next to bright fabrics. Blues, browns, small prints, plaids.

When I think of country the color rose or dusty rose comes to mind. Especially when paird with a complimenting green. Beautiful picture of Smudge.

Beautiful photo of smudge.I’ve always thought of country colors as navy, cranberry and hunter green.There is a magazine called “Country Sampler” perhaps the colors of the products in there will give you a starting place.

country – dusty blue and rose or you could go a much more attractive “french Provincial Country” look with blue and yellow, with florals and mixed prints – very chic!

I think of ‘country’ colors as deep blues, burgandy reds and forest greens mixed in with plain, unbleached muslin.What a great photo of Smudge . . . it looks like a professional portrait *s*

After reading about the SSCS swap on your blog, I wrote in to join…but it was too late. Then a couple days later I got an email that they are increasing the number of participants and I am in! I appreciate the heads up on that one. Great photo of Smudge.
