Progress!

It is slowly growing. Now that I’m working on this again, I can’t believe I let it sit for so long!

Well, I can sort of remember why. The blue print is heavenly to work with. The white on white? A whole other story. It is very difficult to needle and reminds me quickly to put on my thimble! Never again will I buy a white on white like this with the painted-on design. I love the classic look of blue and white, but next time I will look for a white with a woven-in design!

Smudge loves to burrow in on top of the duvet sometimes. This picture cracks me up — one can hardly see his head!

And Lester curled up.

  1. Your star quilt is so pretty and crisp and clean looking. I have tried handquilting white on white where the pattern is stamped on, and you are so right, it is a real pain. Now I just either use a plain white or something with a little woven print in it.

  2. How great you are making progress on this quilt!!! It is absolutely wonderful – you know how much I love blue and white?!? *lol* Sorry to hear you have difficulty needeling the white on white fabric – it looks so great. But you’re right, that stamped on stuff can be difficult, especially if there is much of it on the fabric. Take care and enjoy your weekend!

  3. I *love* this – the pattern and also the BLUE AND WHITE 😉 That is some intense napping in action. They’re training for the napping Olympics, right?
