Patchwork of the Crosses Block Framed

Another block of the POTC ready except for the little purple connector squares.  As I’ve been looking through the blocks remaining, I think I may re-do a few of them.  I’ll reassess when I have all the ones I’m certain of framed and ready, but I think there are a few that just don’t quite fit.  Maybe once I lay them all out, they will work.  Once I get to that point, I’ll take a photo and look at it on the computer screen.  Perhaps I just want to make a few more of the blocks.  I’ve found a few more striped fabrics and other directional prints that could be used for some great effects, so perhaps I just want to make a few more to add those into the mix.

I also finished this one with its connector squares.

The back:

It looks like we’re in for a few rather cool days and then right back into the heat and humidity.  Lester’s happy as long as it’s warm enough to hang out on the windowsill.

While Smudge prefers the comfort of the soft cushions on the couch.

  1. Did I mention how much I love your work 😉 Your choice of fabrics and the colours you put together are wonderful! You must have a beautiful stash 🙂

I’ve never really worked much with Batiks. How does the Inklingo markings show up on those?

    Your blocks are beautiful!!

  2. The POTC blocks are very interesting – instead of re-making any you are not sure of, perhaps you could use them for another project? Our cats like a sunny windowsill too, especially in this cold weather!

  3. Wow, those POTC blocks are great! You have the best assortment of “works in progress”…not a ugly/gone bad one in the whole lot! Hmmm, sunny windowsills are nice, but I’m thinking the soft cushions might win my heart today!

  4. Isn’t is wonderful to have digital cameras and computers to get a great view of the project? I hated having to look in a reducing glass to figure out what worked and what didn’t in a quilt.

  6. I have recently discovered Inklingo and was absolutely fascinated by the process. In an effort to learn more, I came across your blog. Wow! If ever there was anyone to inspire me to give it a go, it’s you. Your work is absolutely stunning and I’m so glad I found your blog.

You’ll be pleased to know that I have downloaded the freebie set and started hand piecing a little star. I think I may either make Tilde’s Totes or possibly a cushion cover (not decided yet).

So thank you for sharing your beautiful work. Just thought I should let you know how inpsiring I find it. Your blocks and quilts are stunning!

PS: Do you hand stitch or use a machine with your Inklingo shapes?

  7. You are keeping so busy! ; ) I love this pattern and just might have to get it. It was your first round of POTC that lured me into your blog. Sigh…. these are lovely, too, but those truly won my heart!

I’m just coming up for air after playing with my new toy (Inklingo). Now remember, I’m a Slow Poke Quilter, so don’t expect to see any photos right away!

I love your other recent blocks, too, and can’t remember if I mentioned it already…. : D
