There are at least 70 or 80 of these circles done. I’m not sure at all what I’ll do with these ones — I keep thinking that some sort of table runner and matching placemats might be fun. And it would be a Christmas gift that I could get put together now and tuck away! One thing’s for sure — whatever I’m making to give away this Christmas is going to be done early.
It is snowing yet again — I cannot believe the amount of snow we’re getting this year.
I’ve been working on the tessellating pinwheels and the 2″ Drunkard’s Path tops — but as I’m hand piecing, they are taking a while and really don’t have too much to show — yet! I’ll be taking a few days off form any piecing as I tack down the binding on the king-sized shabby chic quilt seen here. Finally. I really don’t know why I’ve left it so long because I actually enjoy that part.
Just stumbled on your blog for the first time. You are doing beautiful work and I admire that you do it all by hand. Love the pictures of Smudge and Lester. There seem to be a lot of quilting kitties in blogland. I am owned by one called Oliver Henry. Happy stitching.

I love your circles on square background. Do you use anything to stabilize the circles while you applique them? Thanks for the snow pictures.

That’s how I make my drunkard’s path blocks…by appliquing circles. I don’t like to machine sew curves!I did buy a curved piecing foot I’m wanting to learn to use, but appliquing them is so much more relaxing. I’m looking forward to seeing what you do with your circles.

Those circles look like fun and you’ll have to show us your shabby chic quilt on your bed …. it’s huge! BTW … I’m missing all that snow in TO while I’m up in North Bay. It’s been very cold here but not much snow has fallen.
