Eight new batik FQs to add to the stash. Bits of a few of these may appear in some sunflowers. One of them will definitely get used in a few Monet blocks. There are some design ideas floating around in my mind but I’m not starting anything new — at least not this week! Two more of the little 2.5″ LeMoyne Stars to go and I’ll have them all done for the little bed runner for the doll bed. Until that’s finished I’m trying to not work on anything else.
Have you seen the star blocks on Wanda’s blog, Exuberant Color? Now that is a block that I think I want to try and I might even try it by machine. I may just have to give in and try it soon. It would be so easy with Inklingo HSTs and very quick to put together.
Isn’t this a beautiful bouquet? I love the red of the roses with the pink of the other flowers and the wonderful Christmas greenery mixed in. It was a totally unexpected and very welcome surprise from a good friend.
We went from 16 on Tuesday to snow flurries yesterday, although thankfully none of the snow stayed. At least none of it has stayed yet. I’m really hoping for another incredibly mild winter like the one we had last year.
Baxter’s taking care of the cut flowers in this ‘toon. Guess he has a green thumb paw.
He loves to stretch out on the top of the couch and brace his paw against whatever is on the end table.
One of our cats likes to eat flowers and leaves – especially rose leaves! That’s a scrummy collection of batiks.

Your batiks are gorgeous.
Baxter is so cute… like he is taking “ownership” of the area where he is. Too funny. He sure has a lot of purrrrsonality!

Cathi, those batiks are gorgeous! That Baxter makes me laugh so… I see he is taking good care of your flowers. It comes from sitting atop his kitty perch, admiring the rooftop garden. He likes having some at hand (paw). Gorgeous piece of furniture they are sitting on and the pink dish is beautiful.

The flowers are lovely, the batiks I want and Baxter is all Coon with that paw. Just like my cats what the paw lands on they own!
